The Boronia Park Public School in Pittwater Road, Hunters Hill NSW, hired Astra Street Furniture in September 2020 to supply the Woodville In-Ground 1500 mm bench (merbau hardwood slats), Woodville In-Ground 1800 mm bench (merbau hardwood slats) and London DDA seats with arch leg (merbau slats).
The client said, “We’re very happy with the Woodville and London seats, thank you! They enable us to further enhance our outdoor learning curriculum and look great as well!”
Boronia Park Public School first opened its doors in 1928 and was one of the first public schools operating in the Hunters Hill region. The school has a current enrolment of approximately 535 students, and 29% of their students are from a non-English speaking background. The school places a great focus on teaching effective and dynamic literacy and numeracy programs that are underpinned by an inclusive and positive approach to student wellbeing. They base their school rules around the four values of friendship, harmony, cooperation and respect. Many valuable lessons are taught outdoors, which is why it is essential to incorporate adequate seating facilities to cater for all students.
