Increased awareness of the dangers of sun exposure has led to a proliferation of shading products for outdoor spaces. In the process, architectural shade fabric, shading tension systems, cassette awnings and the like have become popular visual features in designed landscapes. So too have privacy screens and blinds, installed not so much to control sunlight as views, and to define functional zones.
