Artarmon community park project

6 July 2021
Willoughby City Council hired Area Safe and Astra Street Furniture to supply sphere concrete bollards with 600 mm diameters.

Willoughby City Council on 8 Queens Road, Revesby, hired Area Safe and Astra Street Furniture in September 2020 to supply sphere concrete bollards with 600 mm diameters.

The client said: “The bollards look great and provide a substantial barrier at the top of the embankment to protect people on the pathway from cars on the driveway. We also used them near the entry to block cars from driving on landscape areas beside the gate. A solution that is functional and looks great!”

Willoughby City Council is a local government area located in the Lower Northern Shore of Northern Sydney, NSW, with multiple booming suburbs. Chatswood is the main commercial centre of the council, being the home to one of Sydney’s urban skyscraper clusters. The council offers multiple venues for community use, such as leisure centres, art galleries, kids community centres, outdoor pavilions, youth centres, and a local library with a wide range of meeting rooms. They provide an extensive workshop for the first six months of the year to aid the residents so they can “live well in Willoughby.” With over 60 workshops available, it is a part of their continuing sustainability program to support healthy lifestyles, waste management and energy efficiency, and to make use of natural assets and live life to the fullest. The workshops allow locals to engage in activities that will educate the residents and give them the opportunity to participate in initiatives such as Clean Up Australia and Ride2School Day. They have an extreme focus on preserving and maintaining the natural features of their local area and ensuring the community is well educated in how to do so.
