So much so that recently Rainbow Shade's Z16 and Extreme 32 shade cloth ranges received the highest result possible for hail testing conducted by the Southwest Research Institute, Standard UL2218: Impact Resistance of Prepared Roof Covering Materials.

Rainbow Shade's fabric doesn’t just resist hail in laboratory tests either. Throughout the years Rainbow Shade has had numerous cases where Z16 and Extreme 32 shade fabric have held up in large hail storms with hail as large as golf balls.
