Samudra House by The Designory

The living room of Samudra House features Escea's frameless MODE KS1460 fireplace.

Inspired by Byron Bay’s rugged coastline and laid-back pace of life, Samudra House is a place for gathering and relaxing.

Designed as part of the Vela Properties project by The Designory, Samudra House is an exemplar of experience-led design that encourages human connection.

The exterior of the home follows a beachy Australian palette met with hints of the Mediterranean. Textured white rendered walls with oversized bespoke timber windows are designed to frame amber sunsets and fill the home with meandering light.

With four expansive bedrooms, an entertainer’s kitchen, and multiple living zones both inside and out, Samudra House caters to extended friends and families – young and old.

A large outdoor swimming pool takes its inspiration from the pool-dotted hills of Santorini, while the bathrooms exude a spa-like elegance – no amount of luxury is spared.

In the living space, polished concrete floors extend an invitation to soggy towels and sandy feet, while accents of terracotta evoke a sense of the exotic.

Anchoring the living room – a large gas fireplace sits within a micro cement wall. Completely frameless, the MODE KS1460 boasts a realistic flame display and entices long nights wasting away the hours as if they were in surplus. A true holiday experience.

The KS1460 showcases MODE’s new slow 'lazy flame', mimicking a natural flame and setting the pace for complete relaxation.

Curation of local artworks gives the villa a familiar persona, with every last detail of the home being executed with intention.
