DECO’s timber-look aluminium batten system, DecoBatten, has been featured on Barnard House, Daniel Lomma’s new contemporary home in Perth. This resort-style home is a dedicated ‘greeny,’ designed to be environmentally conscious and incorporating cross-ventilation, solar panels, water-wise plumbing and high-performing sustainable products suitable for all environmental conditions.

The dual-purpose home, both attractive and energy-efficient, is situated on a corner block and features stunning DecoBattens in DecoWood’s natural Kwila finish that exude style from all views on the street. The impressive timber-look battens, combined with smooth, split-face masonry, are a picture of architectural elegance and allow the house to complement its natural surroundings, including the nature reserve across the road. DecoBatten, applied to the striking garage door, carries the aesthetic across the entire building, radiating warmth and contemporary appeal.

DecoBatten is not only an aesthetically pleasing product but is low-maintenance and UV stable. The Super Durable marine-grade powdercoating on the DecoWood finish offers extra durability, which protects the home, situated near the Swan River, from moisture. DecoBatten is a sustainable product that involves no logging, harmful greenhouse gases or VOCs, and it is made from easily recycled aluminium, making it the perfect feature for this masterpiece of eco-friendly elegance.

Barnard, Daniel Lomma’s energy-efficient contemporary WA home, has won several awards, including the BDAWA 2019 ‘Best New Residential Design up to $750 000 – $1 million’ and ‘Designer New Home of the Year’ from Trends International Design Awards 2019.
