For this reason, all materials used in buildings in Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) Rated Areas must be certified to the relevant BAL requirements. The systems, heroal Bushfire Protection BAL- 40 and heroal Bushfire Protection BAL- FZ are both tested according to the Australian standard AS1530.8.2 2007.
To ensure that the heroal bushfire protection systems can withstand the strongest heat, fire and flying sparks, a roller shutter slat was developed from a stainless steel alloy, which was rolled and filled with a cast resin. In addition, the guide rails and box system were reinforced with additional fire protection profiles that easily transform a regular guide rail into a part of a bushfire protection system.
