Better Built Homes features DecoVogue aluminium finish in ‘Earthy Ochre.’

DECO Australia’s unique designer aluminium finishes collection, DecoVogue, is now offering a range of natural rust-look effects.

The four new rust colours offer a textured matt surface with a realistic rusted weathered steel appearance that can be applied to DECO’s range of architectural building products and other aluminium extrusions.

DecoVogue’s collection ranges from the popular marble or granite to raw concrete. With these rust finishes, designers, architects and consumers alike can achieve the natural aesthetic of weathered steel across almost any solid aluminium flat sheet or extrusion.

“The new finish really provides our customers with more design choice, offering a completely different look and feel to our current range,” said DECO’s architectural business manager, Simon Pearson.

“It also provides a material alternative for projects that seek an ‘industrial urban look’ but require a lighter, more flexible solution than real rusted steel.”

The finish also has other benefits, such as no colour leeching, an instant rust-look appearance, low maintenance requirements, and long-life durability.

The rust finish can be used for both external and internal design applications and can be applied to DECO’s range of architectural building products, including cladding, slats, battens, windows and door frames.

As with DECO’s renowned DecoWood finish, DecoVogue uses advanced photo imaging sublimation technology. The rust effect is created via a two-part process whereby a Super Durable Class 2 powdercoating is applied to the selected aluminium profile before a realistic rust-look film is applied and baked in high temperatures so the sublimation inks can transfer into the powder.
