Bildspec has installed a stunning Series 100 Rw45 operable wall for food retailer Guzman Y Gomez (GyG) at its Kippax St, Surry Hills NSW head office.

GyG is an Australian multinational retail casual-dining and fast-food restaurant chain and is on a mission to become the biggest and best retail food business in the world. It specializes in high-quality, fresh, clean, Mexican-inspired food. 

The operable wall, installed for builder MPA Constructions, included a complicated, custom-designed graphic by GyG and the designer, The Bold Collective. By printing on 3M film and applying on site after panel installation, Bildspec was able to ensure the best possible graphic match from panel to panel. GyG has worked hard to ensure that its brand is authentic to its core, with every detail being carefully thought out and meticulously presented. Consequently, Bildspec was chosen because of its intricate knowledge in dealing with such complex designs and pattern matching. The end result was a great success and true to GyG’s brand aspirations.

The purpose of the wall was to divide two training rooms while allowing an acoustic division between the rooms. The walls therefore allow GyG the flexibility to open both rooms into one larger space when required. Operable walls are traditionally used in similar settings to allow larger spaces to be transformed into flexible environments that suit the training or working style and acoustic requirements of the intended purpose and function of the relevant space.
