A “modern Aussie resort,” Dream Home 5 by designers Oak and Orange is a coastal-inspired custom-designed family home situated on half an acre in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, New South Wales.
Featuring all the elements of resort-style living, the home showcases how different textures and materials can be used to achieve a contemporary design that makes people feel on holiday. The impressive alfresco and pool area is an entertainer’s delight, including multiple seating and dining areas and an integrated barbecue system complete with a built-in bar fridge.
DECO Australia’s new 25 mm × 25 mm QuickClick battens were installed around the barbecue to create a statement piece for the outdoor living space. Oak and Orange choose DECO’s aluminium batten system, DecoBatten, as it offered a fast and high-quality solution with minimal wastage.
The DecoWood Super Durable ‘Natural Casuarina’ finish selected by Oak and Orange offered all the benefits of a marine-grade and UV-resistant finish that was designed for an outdoor entertaining area. Being powdercoated solid aluminium, the battens offer a low-maintenance solution that requires no painting, staining, or oiling – a fitting solution for relaxed, resort-style living.
