Fire collars – Low Profile Fire Collars

Fire collars – Low Profile Fire Collars

Allproof's Low Profile Fire Collars have been designed to adapt to a wide range of plastic plumbing pipes, AC services and electric services through concrete walls or floors, composite floors and plasterboard walls.

The Low Profile Fire Collars consist of intumescent strip(s) encased in a galvanised or stainless steel casing with fixing tabs. The advanced intumescent technology allows Allproof's range of fire collar to achieve a height of only 27 mm.

In the event of a fire, the intumescent material expands against the steel casing as the penetration service melts or deforms. The fire collars’ steel casing is an excellent heat conductor, enabling fast activation of the intumescent and forming a stable fire-resistant seal – maintaining both fire integrity and insulation.

This range of fire collars has been tested at accredited fire laboratories in accordance AS1530.4 and AS4072.1. The fire collars have been tested and designed to be installed face-fixed on the underside of flooring substrate for both stack and floor waste systems. For plasterboard walls, the collars can be installed both face-fixed and inverted (as stipulated in the Allproof fire manuals).
