ATDC installed its visually appealing commercial S08 curved folding security door to secure curved servery counters at the University of Southern Queensland.

ATDC has installed its visually appealing commercial S08 curved folding security door to secure the curved servery counters to the University of Southern Queensland’s Ipswich Campus Cafe near Brisbane.

Project design specifications:

Two custom-engineered curved commercial folding doors were supplied on this architect-specified project, with special radius curves fabricated to traverse the contours of the apertures. Security was achieved through a series of intermediate up/down locks, which facilitate seamless lock-up without the need for any removeable floor track.

While a continuous overhead support beam was required to attach the 40 mm × 40 mm extruded heavy-duty top track, virtually no headroom clearance was needed. This is a major advantage when compared to the substantial headroom required to install some roller shutters.

Specifying architect:

The specifying architect for the project was Wilson Architects, which is based in Spring Hill. Project managers and builders were Newstead based Future Fitouts, QLD.

Colour range:

The doors installed on this project were supplied in a standard black satin powdercoated finish.

Warranty:

A 12-month warranty against defective materials and workmanship applies.

Project work:

Project-specific photographs of this unique door system are attached. Note these images show the openings on the project while it was still under construction.
