Operable blinds, shutters and screens provide different degrees of control over the amount of light admitted through windows, and also the level of privacy they offer. Venetian blinds, plantation shutters, vertical blinds and Roman blinds, for example, can be adjusted to partially or fully block out a window, whereas sheer blinds mitigate the impact of light without completely obscuring outward views.
