ATDC recently supplied its cutting-edge S08 folding door to secure the curved leaseline perimeters of two island kiosks to the foodcourt for a project by Singapore’s Housing and Development Board.

Project design specifications:

Approximately four custom-designed curved folding doors were supplied on this unique project, each door spanning approximately 9.5 m in width × 2,700 mm in height and each door traversing two 90° curves through a standard 600 mm radius. Each system was fabricated in easily manageable sections through a series of intermediate up/down locks that facilitate seamless lock up without the need for any cumbersome removeable mullions or clumsy removeable floor track. The 40 mm × 40 mm extruded heavy-duty top track in turn provides a further advantage in that it obviates the need for any overhead headroom clearance requirement (while still requiring an overhead support structure).

Specifying architect:

The specifying architect for the project was Singapore-based MKPL Architect. Project managers and builders were Ancon Anda Pty Ltd.

Colour range:

The doors on this project were supplied in a standard black satin powdercoat. Pearl white is an additional standard powdercoat option. Special finishes are available at a premium with an extended lead time.

Warranty:

Twelve-month warranty against defective materials and workmanship applies. With the project being located in Singapore, the customer agreed to purchase additional spares of key components to facilitate speedy repairs and service in the event of any functional issues in the event they develop over time.
