LoĒ-i89 is a special hard coat or room-side coating called Indium Tin Oxide (ITO), which is able to be single glazed or double glazed in an Insulating Glass Unit (IGU) for enhanced performance.
On surface two of a regular IGU, LoĒ-i89 achieves a high Visible Light Transmission (VLT) of 80% – similar to regular clear glass – with a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of 0.66 and a U-Value of 1.6. However, when coated on surface four with a high-performing soft-coat low-E like LoĒ³-366 on surface two, it achieves a U-Value of 1.11, creating an exceptionally insulating IGU.
Being able to be single glazed makes LoĒ-i89 a high-performing option for budget-sensitive projects, and the ITO coating makes it smooth, giving it a clear, haze-free result.
