Nestled in the heart of Bull Creek, Western Australia, the AILA award-winning Bob Gordon Reserve Play Space offers a perfect blend of imaginative design, state-of-the-art facilities, and a touch of futuristic inspiration.

Inspired by the local landscape and the iconic Futuro House, the City of Melville, in collaboration with Plan E Landscape Architects, has skilfully woven the elements of Bull Creek into the park to provide an immersive experience for visitors. Lush greenery, winding pathways, and strategically placed seating areas create an oasis for parents and children alike.

One of the standout features is the meticulously designed barbecue area with three Christie Icon public barbecues powdercoated in weathered steel. Families can turn a day at the park into a culinary adventure, sizzling up their favourite meals amid the picturesque surroundings. The barbecue facilities also offer a perfect opportunity for community gatherings, fostering a sense of togetherness beyond the playground.

The Futuro House adds an extra creative layer. The playground features a replica of the old Leach Highway Spaceship, with interactive elements such as control panels and speaking tubes. A structure straight out of a sci-fi dream, the Futuro House offers a glimpse into the future while paying homage to the past. This space-age dwelling serves as a reminder that imagination knows no bounds and that the park is a canvas for the creativity and inspiration of young minds.
