There are 2.6 billion people worldwide currently living in poverty without any basic sanitary facilities, putting the health of the affected people and children at risk: devastating diseases such as cholera, malaria and typhoid can spread rapidly as a result of inadequate hygiene.
Geberit is passionate about helping the people in need by providing financial and material support. In addition, Geberit has put in place a social commitment plan by launching social projects with its employees and apprentices. This social program was launched in 2008 where every year a group of Geberit apprentices spends two weeks working on-site at various locations around the world to build bathrooms in schools and communities. Geberit is committed to creating a better quality of life.
Geberit intends to make a sustainable contribution to improving quality of life by helping people in developing regions to have better basic sanitary services and thus guaranteeing them a fundamental resource.
