Product innovation: part of Geberit’s daily routine

28 May 2020
To ensure electronics are safely insulated against moisture and maintaining functional reliability, tests are carried out in Geberit laboratories.

The Geberit brand stands for innovation and reliability: Geberit products and systems carry the label “Know-How Installed.” Know-How Installed forms the foundation for innovations at Geberit, focusing on the following technology areas:

  • Hydraulics – To ensure products stand the test of time, Geberit flushvalves are tested for 200,000 cycles, which is equivalent to 50 years of usage.
  • Material technology – To ensure the material is best suited for the application, Geberit develops its own HDPE material formulation.
  • Electronics – To ensure electronics are safely insulated against moisture and maintaining functional reliability, tests are carried out in Geberit laboratories on new products, including with extreme temperature variations and humidity levels.
  • Hygiene – Geberit combines its expertise in material technology and electronics to develop hygiene solutions.
  • Statics – Geberit DuoFix frame is designed to withstand loads of up to 400 kg (including the wall-hung pan) for peace of mind.
  • Virtual Engineering – Geberit uses specialized simulation programs to test the water flow inside products for optimization of performance.
  • Process Engineering – Geberit uses 3D printing and laser sintering processes to ensure that every new product is better than its predecessor from an ecological perspective.
