Decorative perforated panels by Arrow Metal at the Westin Hotel in Perth.

A high-end hotel needs a high-end finish to match – so just take a look at the five star welcome that greets guests at the Westin Hotel in Perth, which is adorned with decorative perforated panels made by Arrow Metal.

The black decorative perforated panels, which are spread across the front of the building’s glass covered base, form a striking visual feature that separates the foyer from the hotel floors above.

The distinctive installation was formed with over 290 aluminium panels, precision perforated by the Arrow Metal team in pattern 258, a standard, in-stock profile of 19 mm holes in a staggered pitch with a 51% open area. Each 3 mm panel was cut to the project’s various required sizes, from 900 × 350 mm up to 900 × 3737 mm.

The perforated panels create an elegant entrance by day and night, shining the spotlight on the Westin Hotel as the flagship of Hibernian Place – Perth’s hospitality hotspot in the heart of the CBD. Together with the Westin, Hibernian Place boasts a selection of prestige leisure, wellness, and restaurant brands, which surround an expansive pedestrian and events plaza.

The 368-room Westin Hotel was the first State Government hotel incentives development, designed to boost tourism, leisure, and corporate city stayovers. It stands on the site of the former Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) HQ.

It is one of the top commercial developments to be added to Arrow Metal’s portfolio of CBD projects, as trusted perforated metal suppliers for architects who are shaping and redeveloping Australian cities. Take a look at Arrow Metal's work in Sydney’s CBD, at George Place, the Wynyard to Barangaroo Tunnel, and the historic Queen Victoria Building.
