Gyprock GECA accredited plasterboards
- CSR Gyprock
In 2008, Gyprock was the first Australian plasterboard manufacturer to have a plasterboard product certified under the Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) label.
Gyprock continues to push for higher environmental performance in its product range without compromising the high-performance standards our customers expect from us. In 2012, EC08 Complete was launched as the highest specification, GECA accredited board in the Gyprock range. We are also proud that in 2014, GECA accreditation was granted to the majority of Gyprock plasterboards in the Residential and Commercial Select and Specialty Options ranges – totaling 16 boards with GECA accreditation.
The GECA label indicates the environmental performance of a product from a whole of product life perspective and is awarded to products that meet voluntary environmental performance standards which have been created and assessed in conformance to international environmental labeling standards.
- Gyprock EC08 was the first Australian plasterboard to be certified by GECA.
- In 2011, all six boards in the EC08 range and 10mm Gyprock Superchek were again first to receive GECA certification under the GECA04-2011 Panel Boards standard.
- In 2014, Gyprock are proud to advise that sixteen plasterboard variants are now GECA accredited, as well as the majority of the Gyprock compounds range.
