Engineered oak flooring – Driftwood

Collection:
Artisan Collection
Supplier:
Royal Oak Floors

Driftwood engineered oak flooring is composed of a French oak timber top layer bonded onto an engineered base to ensure stability and is part of the Artisan Collection.

French oak has a characteristic grain swirl around large knots that is treated with a chemical process that brings out a nutty brown base colour. A grey wash is applied then cut back before being finished. The overall effect is a soft warm grey with great depth to the colour and timber features.

The boards are tongue and grooved on the ends and sides and have an oil coating. 30% of Driftwood is sold as random shorts and the product is feature graded, which means most boards exhibit knots.

Driftwood engineered oak flooring is available in thicknesses of 20 mm, 15 mm and 10 mm, and comes in herringbone, 158 mm, 189 mm and 260 mm widths.

  • Far greater stability means fewer floor failures than with solid floors
  • Available in a range of pre-finished board sizes
  • Far lower VOC emissions once installed compared with on-site finishing
  • Reduced installation time due to a pre-finished product
