ChamberMaxx plastic retention detention system
ChamberMaxx is a corrugated, open-bottom plastic arch detention system designed to economically collect, detain, retain and infiltrate stormwater runoff. The ChamberMaxx works by allowing infiltration into the surrounding soil, effectively achieving runoff reduction.
The chambers are injection-molded using structurally-efficient and corrosion-resistant polypropylene resin. The lightweight design has been extensively tested and exceeds New Zealand heavy traffic loading standards, and the chambers are designed to be installed in high load areas where land is at a premium.
In retention/detention or rainwater harvesting applications, the ChamberMaxx can be sealed with an impermeable membrane to create an underground waterproof tank structure. It is a cost-efficient underground solution for large water storage requirements with 1.4m3 of available storage per chamber.
For infiltration applications, the ChamberMaxx system effectively recharges groundwater, which can achieve reduced discharge objectives as part of Low Impact Design strategy.
Installation is simple with ChamberMaxx as the chambers weigh less than 40kg each, and can be manhandled into position and they don’t require heavy lifting equipment. It is a modular system, and can be designed to various configurations.
The ChamberMaxx is ideal to maximise storage capacity in a shallow footprint.
