Thermashield energy-efficient window and door solutions
Australian building regulations (BCA) has changed to focus on reducing energy consumption, so more consideration is required in the design and planning of buildings with the move from five to six star energy ratings.
Trend® Thermashield® energy efficient window and door systems makes it easy for you to evaluate the level of protection required for each specific window and door in a project as a major part of energy loss is through inefficient glazing.
Environmental principals should to be incorporated at the design stage where initial extra costs in the building or renovation stage will provide long term benefits by assisting in the reduction of heating and cooling in the home. This transforms into cost savings on energy bills and helping our environment.
Efficient design is important and building orientation can help in energy saving as windows on the east and west face will require different Trend’s Thermashield® options to windows on the north and south face of the building.
The high-performance Trend® Thermashield® system make buildings more energy efficient, more comfortable, reduces energy bills, and lessen peak heating and cooling loads. This means smaller heating or cooling systems can be employed. It is also much easier on the environment.
Trend® Thermashield® frames with low thermal conductivity and low air infiltration complemented by energy efficient double glazed systems balances out the entire window system.
All Trend® Thermashield® products are WERS (Window Energy Rating System) rated and are all NATA tested. The WERS ratings are approved by AFRC (Australian Fenestration Rating Council) and recognised by NFRC (National Fenestration Rating Council) and is currently the only scheme approved for energy rating windows and doors in Australia.
