Bolon sets a new standard with Create

A whole new generation of flooring with spectacular weaving technology has been developed in the western Swedish woods. During the Stockholm Furniture Fair, Bolon will launch 2012’s big news, Create – a feature packed collection that blurs the boundaries of what is possible with interior design.

A unique 3D-effect pattern, long life, discernible textile feel and an excellent environmental choice – all incorporated into one product. Bolon will also be introducing the Inspiration Web Tool to coincide with its launch of Create. This web-based tool box provides a source of creative ideas and inspiration and is centred on Bolon’s new collection.

Create is Bolon’s most versatile collection ever and offers a broad palette of creative possibilities. The newly developed weaving technology means that Create seems to have a three dimensional appearance. The colours shift spectacularly between shades of light and dark, depending on where in the room you are standing, how the light falls and how the flooring is laid.

The collection is available in a choice of ten designs, half of them plain and half patterned. The brown base of the collection is illuminated by intensely colourful splashes of orange, purple, blue, green and beige so that each colour and pattern combination infuses the floor with a unique vitality. New, dramatic effects can also be achieved by combining the various designs, colours and patterns - bringing the floor, quite literally, to life.

Our international architect friends are overwhelmingly in agreement – the world of interior design will never be the same again,” laughs Bolon’s Creative Director, Marie Eklund.

The unique design and high performance of the collection are the result of major investments in new machinery. The collection also stands out because of its impressive environmental credentials. Create has minimal impact on the environment thanks to Bolon’s revolutionary phthalate-free plasticiser made from renewable raw materials. Create is available as rolls and tiles in a range of sizes. Create will also be part of Bolon Studio™ and will be sold in the new shape Deco.
