Skytube

The Skytube, a tubular skylight, is ideal for bathrooms, hallways, kitchens, walk-in robes or any room too small to install a traditional Skydome but still in need of natural light. Skytubes are also suited to larger rooms that require task lighting. It is available in 250-mm and 400-mm diameters.

The Skytube features the Intech refraction technology to capture more sunlight during the early morning and late afternoon. The Intech Lens increases skylight performance by four times compared to other tubular skylights. It allows the Skytube to regulate the light during the hot midday sun to provide maximum light without the additional heat. This technology is exclusive to Skydome and when combined with a variable pitch adaptor, has enhanced performance.

The variable pitch adapter ensures a straight and direct path for the light to travel without the need for angles – which decrease brightness – to deliver more natural light to a room.

The Skytube is also available in mechanically-vented model to combine natural light, mechanical exhaust and an optional electric light fitting. Also available in the 400 mm model is a three-stage diffuser that can be adjusted to be open, half closed or completely sealed to provide varying degrees of ventilation.
