Trends from the Look Green Home Design Awards

30 November 2009

The winning entries in the Look Green Home Design Awards have all featured creative treatments of the standard box shape. And interestingly, these award-winning designs are also not made of traditional building products like brick.

Over 100 different architects, designers and builders entered the Look Green Home Design Awards, which showcase innovative green homes in three categories: best new custom-built home, best display home and best renovation.

Entrants were required to demonstrate significant green design innovation, sustainable features, affordable construction and reduced operational cost.

“There’s a myth that green building is more expensive; it’s not if you do your research,” says Archicentre’s Robert Caulfield. Many of the entries in this year’s Look Green Home Design Awards back this up. Check out the entries and trends in the Look Home Design Annual Magazine.
