Schweigen’s design goals are simple. First, they aimed to find a new and innovative ways to eliminate sound at each step in the air extraction process. Second, they must deliver as much as suction as any domestic application could require. Even the quietest motor and fan will generate noise. So placing it close to your ear just isn’t very logical, taking the motor out of the canopy and installing it at the other end of the ductwork is a revolutionary way of eliminating the noise.
