Sareen Stone to provide the finishing touch at DesignEx 2010

Sareen Stone, suppliers of quality natural stone materials are set to inspire the design industry, launching new natural stone floor and wall finishes at the 2010 DesignEx show in Sydney April 22-24th.

This year Sareen Stone will showcase a selection of new and innovative natural stone tiles, pavers, wall cladding and introduce a new bespoke bathtub designed exclusively for Sareen Stone by Registered Landscape Architect and Co-Principal Julian Brady of Sitedesign (www.sitedesign.net.au).

At DesignEx 2010 Sareen Stone aims to encourage the use of natural stone materials throughout architecture, interiors and landscaped environments.

“This year we worked with Julian Brady on the stand design, and focused on the trend for deep charcoal tones with distinct contrast to lush green landscaping and sleek interior finishes. This scheme will perfectly complement Sareen Stone’s new logo and branding.” says Lizzi Hawkins, Marketing Manager of Sareen Stone.

Sareen Stone will introduce new Pietra Grey Marble with a Sandblasted finish, which offers the durability and density of a marble with anti-slip qualities - both elements are key for outdoor environments. Accompanying the sandblasted finish is Pietra Grey Honed marble, which offers dark charcoal tones and contains striking white veining - perfect for interior spaces seeking impact.

Sareen Stone has sourced new quality Black Titan Bluestone tiles and pavers available in Honed and a new Water Sandblasted finish. The Water Sandblast keeps the dark shades to complement the dark honed finish. For a visually seamless transition from interior to exterior, these two finishes work hand-in-hand, each providing relevant requirements for interior or exterior spaces.

Sareen Stone commissioned Julian Brady, who has completed inspiring projects around the world to design a bespoke bathtub to launch at DesignEx. Inspired by the balance of Yin Yang, Julian designed a twin set of luxurious baths that ‘EMBRACE’ each other. With two baths couples can enjoy a shared bathing experience or one bath can be used as a stand-alone feature. Each bath is hand-carved from a single large block of stone, and has been designed ergonomically for comfort and the ultimate harmonious bathing experience. The baths have been named ‘EMBRACE’.

‘EMBRACE’ is suitable for interior bathrooms, day spas and resorts and can also be used externally for bathing in and amongst nature. Available in a choice of two colours either Andecite, a charcoal grey volcanic stone or Classic Travertine. One of each colour, light and dark, used together completes the Yin and Yang.
