Bushfire-resistant doors and windows

Gold 70 and PremiDoor bushfire-resistant profiles from Kömmerling have been designed for use in Australia’s bushfire areas to help protect property and lives. Kömmerling’s PVC-U window and door profile systems were successfully tested to AS 3959: 2009 and AS 1530.8.1: 2007 requirements for construction of buildings in bushfire-prone areas. Gold 70 and PremiDoor also passed the standard, including Bushfire Attack Level 40TM.

Tests were realized in association with Viridian PyroGuard 40TM Glass. Kömmerling’s PVC-U window and door systems, designed to help home owners balance the need for bushfire safety with aesthetic freedom, have been on the Australian market for 18 years. With no need for specific metal screens or bushfire-resistant shutters, the window system allows home occupants to enjoy natural light, ventilation and unobstructed views.
