Optiled's Super Star LED spotlight
Super Star is the latest high-powered MR16 LED spotlight from Optiled, designed as an alternative to dichroic halogen lamps in downlight applications. Matched to the dimensions of MR16 halogen lamps, it utilizes four one-watt LEDs in a patented birdcage design.
The Super Star produces light output comparable to conventional 35-watt dichroic halogen lamps. It consumes only five watts of power, yet it produces 250 L Lm of light output. It runs on both conventional electronic transformers and dedicated LED drivers.
In addition, it can be retrofitted to most MR16 fixtures with 12-volt ACAC/DC power supply.
The Super Star received a positive response from attendees at Designex during April. Daylight colour is available now, with warm white to be released in late 2008.
