Mitek timber prefabrication
More than 1,000 prefabricated timber trusses, over 140 cubic metres of timber and over 10,000 Mitek connector plates were used on the large Port of Airlie project in Queensland.
Mitek fabricator Accutruss took on the project shortly after opening its doors in mid 2009. The new development has a large underground car park hidden below a ground-floor arcade of shops, an area set aside for port administration, two hotels, offices and several restaurants. Above them sit more offices and three residential floors with over 300 designer apartments. For the lucky few, top-floor penthouses boast some of the best views money can buy.
