Locker Group Pic-Perf panels at the Croydon Aquatic Centre
The Croydon Leisure and Aquatic Centre is a community based centre, designed to offer a ‘one stop shop’ for health and fitness. Locker Group worked with design architects, Peddle Thorp, to achieve a modern and welcoming entrance, which integrated into the theme of the complex.
The final design was a montage, spanning more than 25 metres, which incorporated the Maroondah City Council logo and images of members enjoying the centre facilities.
Locker Group Pic-Perf® allowed photographic images to be reproduced within the façade to achieve the aesthetic brief. In addition the façade provides shade for the complex, while allowing natural light through.
The use of aluminium in this project ensured the façade was lightweight. Detailed management of the entire project was required to ensure the panels met the exact radius of the building, while still meeting exactly as planned to guarantee continuity of the image.
