Latchways ManSafe fall protection systems

In 2005, Eurosafe Solutions & Latchways began working with the leading roofing manufacturers to test the suitability of a top-fix roof safety anchor on their commercial range of roofing systems. Constant Force® Technology is about managing load control through the entire roofing system.

Every Constant Force® post has a shock-absorbing unit that limits end loads to the roof sheet to 10Kn. Top-fix roof anchors without shock absorbers can be torn off from the roof sheet as the loads could not be reduced before being transferred through the fixing details and roof system.

Of the numerous different Australian metal roofing systems tested, the following types posted successful results:

• Lysaght (Custom ORB, Trimdek, Kliplok 700HS, Spandek)
• Kingspan KS 1000 RW
• Stramit (Corrugated, Monoclad, Speeddeck Ultra)
• Kalzip
• KME Copper
• Rheinzink

The following membrane roof systems used in Australia have given approval of the Constant Force post and include it with their warranty:

• Sika Sarnafil
• Wolfin S
• De Boer
