The history of Andreu World is the history of an industry that was born in a cabinetmaker’s workshop and later transformed into a design powerhouse for product culture. Andreu World now knows a lot about chairs. They’ve been making them since 1955 and have won numerous international design awards including the Wallpaper Design Awards coveted ‘Best Dining Chair’ prize.

Every year Andreu World also hosts one of the world’s biggest chair design competitions. Founded by Francisco Andreu, the company has grown to become Spain’s leading exporter of contemporary design seating, exporting 60% of its production to over 60 countries for residential and contract markets. Currently, the company has three production facilities in Alacuás, Navarre and Chiva, as well as two permanent showrooms in Valencia and Chicago.

Every chair has a story, and with over 50 years of production and over 120 designs currently in production, there are a lot of chair stories. Next time you visit a Radisson Hotel, QE2 Ocean liner, PWC office, Bank of Singapore, Hong Kong Airport, Aria Restaurant, Four Seasons Hotel, or one of many other international business and hospitality brand names, you have a good chance of sitting on a chair by Andreu World.
