Innovative ceiling ideas from DecoWood™
DecoWood™ wood-grain finish on aluminium has been used on internal and external ceiling applications in a number of projects around Australia recently.
Hallway ceilings of an office building on La Trobe Street in Melbourne were created using 150 × 50 RHS with the DecoWood™ Snow Gum finish. The aluminium sections were positioned at equal distances apart attached to the ceiling on the short edge.
The effect played with the idea of different lines, and the DecoWood™ helped to soften the sterile environment. DecoWood™ is well suited to larger sections such as the 150 × 50 RHS because timber is often used in such sizes.
DecoWood™ was also applied to MetalART Industries 75 × 15 mm Supaslats for natural timber-look external ceilings at Diamond Creek Shopping Centre in Melbourne.
The beauty of using the slats for ceiling features is that they can be butted up against each other or positioned with a gap between each slat for different applications and effects.
DecoWood™ is a durable marine-grade powder coating that offers the long-lasting look of timber without the hassles of maintenance.
