Thermatech paint technology in Colorbond steel

In response to the growing need for sustainable design, Colorbond steel has invested in technologically advanced Thermatech paint technology. It gives a new level of improved thermal performance. Thermatech paint technology also provides architects with an appropriate building material to help fulfil their design briefs while achieving their sustainability objectives.

All roofs made from Colorbond steel now incorporate new Thermatech technology, which works by reflecting more of the sun’s heat – leaving the roof space, and therefore the building, cooler. In hot weather it can keep the building from 1ºC to 5ºC cooler, depending upon the level of insulation already installed, reducing the need for airconditioning.
