Maxiview roof shutters
Glass roofs are a popular inclusion in contemporary homes, giving natural light and improved views. Inherent in this design is the problem of excessive heat gain during the summer months, heat loss during winter and lack of privacy.
Blockout's Maxiview roof shutters can reduce heat gain by 90% while also reducing glare, reducing fading of furnishings and providing privacy and storm protection. The design of Maxiview allows light to pass through while deflecting the outside heat. This is performed by a series of perforations in the shutter profiles (over 55,000 perforations per square metre).
The Maxiview shutter design allows for a much tighter rolling action than that of conventional shutters – they retract into a smaller pelmet (or head box) which can also be coloured to the client’s needs.
The shutters can also retract fully into the pelmet when not required, thus they are not a permanent obstruction like many external louvre blinds. Their rigid construction means they can protect against high winds and hail caused from storms. Even the angle of the glass is no problem as Maxiview roof shutters can run uphill.
