Blockout shutters for bushfire defence
The installation of Blockout shutters during the construction of buildings in bushfire-prone areas is endorsed by Australian standards, the Rural Fire Services, councils and local fire authorities.
Blockout’s aluminium roller shutters provide added protection from bushfires by preventing glazing from shattering, and stopping sparks and other flying debris from penetrating the building and igniting internal furnishings, while also restraining the spread of the fire by preventing the escape of oxygen.
In addition, Blockout aluminium profiles have minimal distortion under high temperatures.
