Benexblock™ wall system

The Benexblock™ offers a unique form of wall construction. The 2 key elements that set the H600 hollow block apart from all alternate wall construction methods are the mix and interlocking system. The block is made from a combination of sand, cement, polystyrene and other elements that when combined and mixed in the right patented method, provides exceptional water resistance (100%), fire rating (4 hours), thermal resistance, acoustic performance and other properties.

The special interlocking design increases the bond strength giving excellent wind and lateral load capacity ensuring true and plumb construction. This makes the blocks easy and fast to erect.

Product features:

• It is lightweight – the 600 × 200 × 200m² hollow block weighs only 13.5 kgs.
• It is impervious to water.
• Has a 4-hour load bearing fire rating.
• An acoustic rating of RW37.
• Excellent thermal rating.
• Each block is individually cast and cured in a steel mould which allows for exceptional tolerances in the finished block with less than 0.2 mm variance in the finished block.

Benexblock delivers significant environmental benefits. The first is the block's ability to be manufactured with approximately 2/3 less energy than might be required for the manufacture of a similar wall area of clay brick.

Second, because of the advantageous higher insulation available, buildings or homes that might need to be heated or air-conditioned can be expected to have less energy needs for such heating and cooling.

With the high resistance to water permeability and the higher thermal insulation level, a single layer of the hollow block may be sufficient to provide sufficient insulation for effective purposes.
