App lets architects visualise buildings at the touch of a screen
A new iPad and iPhone app that enables architects and designers to see how facade finishes and colours will look on different types of buildings has been launched by Alucobond Architectural.
Free to download, the ALUCOBOND AU app allows users to simulate Alucobond Architectural’s complete range of surfaces on commercial, residential, industrial and public buildings at the touch of a screen.
Mark Bradfield, Business Manager, Alucobond Architectural said the app – the first of its kind in Australia – was an ideal support tool for architects and designers seeking inspiration and ideas for their next project.
“Users can select from as many as 52 surfaces, including solid colours, metallic colours, special effect colours, Spectra colours, naturAL, Wood Design and Anodized Look. The app will instantly visualise the effect directly onto the building of their choice,” said Mr Bradfield.
While the colour and building simulator is the heart of ALUCOBOND AU, the app also features a media library with numerous project references and images of iconic Australian and international buildings.
Users will also find product information on the Alucobond, Alucobond Plus, Alucobond A2 and Alucore ranges, along with technical data for further planning.
“Once downloaded, the app can be used whenever and wherever without an Internet connection. It’s an innovative, portable solution designed to save architects and designers time and put hundreds of images and ideas at their fingertips,” said Mr Bradfield.
Now available on Apple iTunes, the ALUCOBOND AU app is compatible with the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
