Architect Jackson Teece specified the Thump X1 series balustrade for a Brisbane multiresidential project, the Scott Street Apartments. The flexibility and minimalism of the system enabled consistent detailing on each of the project’s varied terraces, curved balconies and voids. Colourback glass was applied to conceal the slab edges and emphasize the horizontal aspect of the river balconies.

The X1 system comprises sensitively detailed high-quality stainless steel fittings, low-height flat-bar posts and a slimline flat-bar handrail. The system has been fully engineered and certified to meet AS1288-2006 for all residential, commercial and industrial load requirements. It can accommodate all major construction methods.
