Driftwood timber flooring

Supplier:
Royal Oak Floors

The Driftwood is composed of a French Oak timber top layer bonded on to an engineered base to ensure stability. French Oak has a characteristic grain swirl around large knots that is treated with a chemical process that brings out a nutty brown base colour. A grey wash is applied then cut back before being finished. The overall effect is a soft warm grey with great depth to the colour and timber features.

The boards are tongue and grooved on ends and sides. They are sold with an oil coating. 30% of the product is sold as random shorts and product is feature graded which means most boards exhibit knots.

Available in 20, 15 and 10 mm thicknesses. Comes in herringbone, 158, 190 and 260 mm widths.

  • Far greater stability means fewer floor failures than with solid floors.
  • Available in a range of pre-finished board sizes.
  • Far lower VOC emissions once installed compared with on-site finishing.
  • Reduced installation time due to a pre-finished product.
