Casalgrande Padana’s Pietre Native line now includes Pietre Rare, completely unglazed porcelain stoneware featuring highly technological specifications created thanks to constantly evolving studies to achieve designer effects. Result of in-depth research into the formal, textural and styling aspects of the material targeted on achieving a natural effect.
The Pietre Rare series includes four formats (30 × 30, 15 × 60, 30 × 60 and 60 × 60), four surface finishes (matt, polished, satin and bush-hammered) and four soft shades ranging from brown and grey to the warm tones of beige. The full-bodied structure, grading, veining, chromatic effects, textures and structure reflect the same characteristics as the stone materials they resemble (Pietra Piasentina, Pietra di Lucerna and Porfido), while the performance levels are actually superior to those in nature.
The high-quality materials used, and the very thick slabs (10.5 mm for the 60 × 60), render the surfaces incomparably compact. This makes Pietre Rare easy to clean and practically indestructible when it comes to physical and chemical stress. The patterning and veining vary from tile to tile and penetrate right through the thickness of the material, so each slab can be worked as though it were natural stone.
Like the other Pietre Native series, Pietre Rare can be used for both indoor and outdoor floors and walls, for residential buildings, large areas in shopping centres, in public buildings and urban design, and for the most complex and complicated modern constructions as well as for renovating and refurbishing old buildings.
