Ximula's X6 Library System installed at Roseville College
XIMULA Australia recently completed installation of its Award Winning 'X6 Library shelving System' at the prestigious Roseville College on Sydney's North Shore.
The project Architects Paul Gallagher & Birgit Chinnery from Studio GA selected the 'X6 System' because of its contemporary aesthetic and its 'Future-Proof' design capabilities.
Paul & Birgit were adamant that the system they chose for the college should not include static bulky cabinetry because the library required the capability to adapt to possible changes in the floor-plan over time.
They also insisted that the system could be further customized and enhanced to include new technologies being introduced within library environments. They recognize that the library has become more than just a place for book storage and study, but rather a meeting hub for teaching and social interactions within the school environment.
The discerning features that convinced Paul and Birgit to select the new 'X6 System' was its autonomous modularity and the extensive range of specialized finishes that provided them the freedom to create a flexible library environment without the need for expensive static cabinetry to improve the shelves appearance.
For too many years libraries have had to incorporate an outdated style of generic book shelving that gave little consideration to contemporary design tastes. Finally, Ximula has broken the mould with its new X6 system and updated the functionality of library shelving to better match the architectural sensitivities of today's interiors.
A customised range of components are available for general book shelving, junior shelving and specialised concepts for CD and DVD storage and display.
Ximula is the intelligent choice for commercial and domestic shelving and storage solutions.
