In this project, Adherettes produced a digital wayfinding solution that reflects and integrates with the building fabric, and complements existing signage using Corian.

The winners of the 2015 Corian Design Awards have been announced.

Dual project winner:

One Property by Lachlan Cooper Architects EAT.

The project used Corian for a cantilevered, multi-faceted reception counter where the client wanted to make a statement at their head office. The ability of Corian to create irregular forms with seamless joins was irrefutable as a material choice. The outcome is a unique piece of joinery that breaks the mould of typical reception counters.

Dual project winner:

St Vincent's Private Hospital by Greg Angel of Angel Mahchut Pty Ltd.

Corian was selected as the primary wall lining material in the operating rooms following a collaborative prototyping process including rigorous bacterial, chemical, stain and impact resistance testing. Critically, the seamless joining capabilities of Corian allowed the walls to be constructed without any visible conventional joints which are natural weak points when striving for a completely clean environment.

Product winner:

Wayfinding Signage by Alexander Meeks of Adherettes.

In this project, Adherettes produced a digital wayfinding solution that reflects and integrates with the building fabric, and complements existing signage. The design concept called for a high end product that is seamless in appearance, able to be formed, layered and illuminated. Using Corian, a breathtaking finish was able to be achieved at a reasonable price.
