Winners announced in Dulux Accredited Awards
Professional painters and up and coming painting apprentices from around the country have been named as amongst the country’s best in the 2012 Dulux Accredited Awards.
The Dulux Accredited Program recognises Australian painters that show a high commitment to quality workmanship and a professional approach to customer service.
A panel of judges made up of three senior managers from Dulux Australia chose a state and national winner for Dulux Painter of the Year, with an overall winner announced for Dulux Accredited Business Professional of the Year and Dulux Accredited Apprentice of the Year. Commendation and Runner Up Awards were also be given across the three categories.
Bashford Painters took out the top spot in the 2012 Dulux Accredited Painter of the Year category and is also the Vic/Tas State Winner. WA-based, AJ Cochrane and Sons are the 2012 Dulux Accredited Business Professional of the Year and Emma Stevenson from Glennburn Contracting Pty Ltd is the 2012 Dulux Accredited Apprentice of the Year.
Dulux Accredited Program Manager, Colleen Jeffery-Court, said this year is an exciting year for the Dulux Accredited Awards, with a significant number of businesses entering for the first time.
"The Dulux Accredited Painter of the Year Awards is now in its tenth year. The Awards aim to celebrate the success of all entrants, while recognising best practice from state finalists and winners nationally.
“We had a record number of new entrants to this year’s Awards which is very exciting and it shows that the competition is stronger than ever. The judges commented on the high standard of entries, in particular, commending all entrants on their commitment to outstanding customer service, quality craftsmanship, and focus on safety.
“Congratulations to all finalists and winners for the 2012 Dulux Accredited Painter Awards. The benchmark has certainly been set higher than ever for next year’s Awards,” Jeffery-Court said.
All winners were announced at the Dulux Accredited annual conference in Auckland on 17 August 2012. At the conference, painters are exposed to speakers and concepts designed to improve their businesses.
