Tensile project update: Green Facades @ One Central Park

The first climbers for the ‘One Central Park’ green façades were planted during December. Two months on, the result of 2 years of hard work is starting to show.

Tensile has over 2000 individual Jakob stainless steel cables that make up the green façade, wrapping the East & West Towers in more than 10 km of wire and rod. Visiting the site in early January some climbers had already grown 3 m up the cables, and the majority have done well over the summer break considering the high temperatures we have had in Sydney.

The enormous 100 tonne Heliostat was also recently installed, the first of its kind on a building in Australia.

We are very excited about seeing the end product on ‘One Central Park’ with the green façades in full growth the building will be truly breathtaking!
