Improved formulas provide long lasting timber protection
Australia’s high performance timber finishes brand, Intergrain, takes exterior timber coatings to the next level with longer lasting results.
Working with insights from Australian architects and specifiers, plus a team of chemists dedicated to the research and development of timber coatings, the experts in timber finishes, Intergrain, has released updated formulas to improve the performance of its exterior coatings range.
The result is an exceptionally durable range of timber finishes to nurture and protect exterior timber and deliver outstanding results for any job.
Intergrain Brand Manager, Stuart McCausland, said Intergrain timber coatings are widely specified by top Australian architects for leading projects because its products deliver three key elements: quality finishes, durability and a low impact on the environment.
“It’s our ongoing commitment to research and innovation that makes Intergrain the architect’s choice,” McCausland said.
“We understand that when it comes to exterior timber, architects and specifiers want a highly durable and sustainable timber coating that celebrates and protects the character of timber, and we are devoted to delivering this through technological innovations.”
Top‐selling Intergrain UltraDeck decking oil has been reformulated with the latest technology to significantly increase its resilience, meaning UltraDeck is head and shoulders above anything else on the market.
“Intergrain UltraDeck is perhaps the longest lasting penetrating decking oil available. This is because UltraDeck has the ultimate protection against UV, weather conditions and even abrasion, making it perfect for high traffic areas,” McCausland said.
“This means once the project is complete, the building owner has an extended maintenance cycle resulting in reduced cost, less disruption and a reduced carbon footprint in the long‐term,” he added.
Not only does Intergrain UltraDeck deliver on durability, it is a water‐based finish and contains 96 per cent less Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) than traditional decking oils, making it a far more environmentally responsible option and more pleasant to apply.
Intergrain Nature’s Timber Oil has been reformulated to achieve lower VOC emissions. This product now meets the strict European Union Clean Air Regulations for exterior solvent based coatings – meaning it has the world’s highest environmental credentials for a solvent based coating.
To add colour without hiding the natural features of timber, Intergrain NaturalStain has been improved to ensure a perfect finish – without the brushmarks – every time. Choose from 13 NaturalStain colours to transform the colour of timber without leaving any tell‐tale signs that the timber was stained.
Made locally and tested to perform in Australian conditions at three National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) registered locations across Australia, the new and improved Intergrain exterior coatings are available now.
