IGA Jamberoo complies with new government regulations
A custom portable partition system supplied by Portable Partitions Australia (PPA) has been recently used to create a barrier to close off an IGA Jamberoo liquor isle during out of hours trading.
This was in response to the owners being informed only three days before the new store opening that to comply with new government regulations they would be required to create a ‘fixed and permanent barrier’ at the end of their liquor isle, or the store could not open.
A custom portable partition offered by PPA was chosen to meet this demand due to its design flexibility, cost effectiveness and aesthetics.
The custom design incorporated polycarbonate panels that are easy to wipe clean and a grey finish was selected to fit into the overall store design scheme. A lock was attached to the aluminum frame for security and articulating hinges were used to allow the partition to be opened and closed by the staff when required and folded away when not in use.
Carmel Goldsmith from IGA Jamberoo commented “We found Portable Partitions Australia online and discussed our custom requirements and challenging timeline. We sent some images and discussed the situation extensively. The team at PPA suggested a variety of options, costs and materials. We chose the articulating screen that could fold up beside the fridge, taking up minimal space when not in use and being very discreet in appearance. We decided on the clear polycarbonate panels which are very neutral and didn't impact the overall look of our store which was newly built”.
