Robelle Domain in Springfield Central Parklands became Australia’s first digital playground featuring ICON play equipment when it was officially opened in May this year. The site is the result of a creative collaboration between Vee Design and Urban Play. David Hatherly, director of Vee Design, was awarded the 2011 AILA QLD Design Award for Landscape Architecture for the Parklands’ design. Incorporating Australia’s first on-line interactive playground, it is Queensland’s most contemporary new parkland.
